How to make freshly milled chocolate chip cookies
Step 1: Mill your flour Step 2: Melt your butter and allow it to cool before adding it to the batter.
Step 3: Add your dry ingredients to a medium sized bowl and mix together
Step 4: Add butter and sugars to a large bowl and mix together using a hand mixer or a stand mixer with the whisk attachment
Step 5: Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix with a spatula. Mix in your chocolate chips.
Step 6: Chill dough in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes or up to 2 hours. If longer than 2 hours let batter sit on the counter for 30 minutes to soften up before scooping your cookies.
Step 7: Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Scoop 6 cookies onto each sheet using a cookie scoop. Don’t flatten cookies. Bake for 13-14 minutes.

- In a large bowl add your melted butter, and sugars and mix well with hand beaters or in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment. - Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix with a rubber spatula. Add in your chocolate chips. Chill dough for a minimum of 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- When ready to bake preheat your oven to 350°. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Scoop 6 dough balls onto each pan. Don't flatten the cookies. Bake for 13-14 minutes.
- Top with Maldons flaky sea salt if desired.
