These copycat Heavenly Hunks are just that- Heavenly! When I first tried store bought heavenly hunks from Costco I knew immediately I had to try and make my own version of these and I did! These are gluten free and refined sugar free. They could even be dairy free if you opt for a dairy free chocolate chip. You will love this no bake recipe! Heavenly Hunks are essentially a no bake oatmeal cookie.

I’m always looking for healthy desserts, and these are now my go-to. There was a time recently where I was eating gluten free and dairy free for my health and these were helpful for my sweet tooth during that time. For these to be gluten free you must use gluten free oats. My favorite brand is the One Degree Organic Sprouted Rolled Oats. Although I am no longer gluten free I still use gluten free flour in these to mimic the taste of the original Heavenly Hunks and because I like the taste of the King Arthur Measure for Measure Gluten Free Flour. In order to make these dairy free you have to use dairy free chocolate chips. There are some good options out there.
Why you’ll love this recipe
- It’s a guilt free healthy dessert/snack!
- Freezes well
- Keeps in the fridge for up to a week
- A great thing to make ahead and bring on the go for an easy snack
- Gluten free and dairy free (if using dairy free chocolate chips)
- Very easy to make
Ingredients
Gluten Free Oats – my favorite brand is the One Degree Organic Sprouted Rolled Oats. You can get these on Amazon, at Costco, or on Thrive market.
Gluten Free Flour – Even if you aren’t gluten free I would still suggest using the King Arthur Measure for Measure Gluten Free Flour for a taste most similar to the original Heavenly Hunks.
Coconut Flakes
Pure Maple Syrup
Coconut Oil
Cashew Butter
How to make Homemade Heavenly Hunks
Step 1: Line a 9×9 square pan with parchment paper and set aside
Step 2: Using a blender or a food processor blend 2 cups of oats until it is a fine flour
Step 3: In a large bowl combine all the ingredients minus the chocolate chips.
Step 4: Add in chocolate chips
Step 5: Add mixture to your parchment lined pan and dress down firmly.
Step 6: Put in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Cut into bite sized squares. Store in the fridge.
Tips
- Store these in the fridge, not on the counter for the best texture.
- Melt coconut oil in your 1/2 cup measuring cup then add in the cashew butter to the same measuring cup. The leftover coconut oil will allow the cashew butter to slide right out.
